Abstract
One of the artistic features and novel effects of rhetoric in explaining occult facts is the use of figurative language. In the meantime, the nature and characteristics of angels are presented with a visual language that is based on components; Such as: religious belief, realism, fantasy, emotion and music. Based on this, the image of angels in Nahj al-Balagha is such that the intellectual aspect prevails over the artistic aspect, which makes it look dry and soulless. On the other hand, the artistic aspect has not prevailed over the intellectual aspect so that the images become soulless and empty, but the artistic image has been given to Imam Ali (a.s.) as a tool to express the divine goals. In these images, Hazrat Ali (A.S.) used all his literary power to penetrate the soul and thoughts of the audience, and there is a harmony between them and human feelings and thoughts. In this research, using an analytical and library method, the methods of Imam Ali (a.s.) in portraying angels using rhetorical techniques and verbal arrays such as simile, metaphor, metaphor, irony, and also the use of letters and words and We have analyzed and investigated the use of the art of visualization, imagination and diagnosis.
