Suhrawardi’s Spritual Taste Knowledge and Comparing it with Kant’s View on Spiritual Taste

Abstract
The present study seeks to investigate Suhrawardi’s intellectual sources of philosophy and an expansion of the concepts of spiritual taste, intuition, observation, and illumination, while shedding light on similarities and differences between discursive (Greek) philosophy and Hikmat ḏawqi (spritual taste philosophy). No difference between Hikmat ḏawqi and discursive philosophies and explanation of the key position of spiritual taste are the facts resulted from analysis of the views presented by Shihab al-Din al-Suhrawardi. In the concluding section of the study, I would compare the concept of spiritual taste in Suhrawardi’s and Kant’s views in the modern philosophy.
