Abstract
Motivation and content play a role in the prohibition of all types of artistic instances—except for ghina' (singing/music)—either as the entire subject or as part of the subject. As for ghina', which is a type of vocal quality and whose determination falls outside the scope of this article, the apparent evidence from reliable sources and the prevailing opinions of most jurists indicate that motivation and content have no role in its prohibition.
